I'm in the beginning stages of reworking a kitchen table top. I'm going to make a new top via an intarsia picture. To the point: I need help in deciding what type of clear finish for it. I need something tuff; scratch resistant, water proof, and maybe even heat resistant for those hot pans. I would prefer a clear, high gloss and deep finish. Do you have any suggestions?

We recommend a finish specifically made for table tops – it provides extra hard, high gloss finish offers maximum resistance to water, alcohol, abrasion, heat, chemicals, detergents, and other damaging liquids. The product is BEHLEN RockHard Table Top Varnish.
